ITI Kalmeshwar is one of the premium Institute of state Government under the Directorate of vocational education & Training, Maharashtra State, Mumbai. This institute is located in MIDC Area,Kalmeshwar,Dist. Nagpur .This Institute is 25 KM away from Nagpur city. The Institute was in World bank Assisted project from 2009-2018. MIDC Area Kalmeshwar,inculed WORLD Clas Industries like JSW,Ltd.,Ankur Seed Pvt,Ltd.,Zim Lab Pvt,Ltd.,ISAB Industries,Jirson Ruber Industries,Kaml Pipe,Morarji Tiles,Chimfield,lLtd. Minax,Ramdeo Baba Steel Pvt.Ltd. etc. This area is near to Mihan & MIDC Area Hingna, also have Power Plant at Koradi,Khaprkheda away of 30km from Kalmeshwar, therefore Institute is having more Scope of employment to Trainee.

Presently this Institute is imparting training in 8 Trades & 14 Units. Institute is running two shifts. The present Intake Capacity is 172, this is not sufficient to fulfill the demand of the surrounding Industry. Considering the industry demand & employment potential, more Trade & demand-oriented courses need to be started. Some new initiatives & activities are proposed for upgrading the Institute in next 5 years –

• To upgrade the Trade of Institute.
• To make this Institute a  model Institute to produce a world-class semi-skilled workforce.
• To Increase intake capacity fromb 172 to 212 by starting new trades of demands.
• Starting short-term courses in Industry demand like mobile Repairing & Other..
• Strengthening TCPC cell.
• Providing regular employment to all students.
• Strengthening Entrepreneurship cell for promoting self-employment & start-ups.
• Increase in female students up to 30 % by starting trades for female students.
• Assuring 100 % apprenticeship for Pass out students.
• Providing OJT ( On Job Training ) in various organisation.
