\nAbout Wardha<\/strong>
\nWardha \u201cPioneer of skill Education\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gandhiji said \u201cOnly through imparting education through crafts can India stand before the world.\u201d During his entire life he kept on reminding all the stakeholders about the importance of craft training in education. He started \u2018Basic education system\u2019 popularly known as Wardha Scheme of Education in 1937 to impart skill training in Sewagram Ashram ( Gandhi Ashram) at Wardha. The basic concept was \u2018 Learn by Doing\u2019. He believed in combination of hand culture and mind culture in education. He characterized Basic Education as \u201c Education for Life\u201d . Since then Basic Education came to be Known as \u2018Nai Talim\u2019. He was the strong supporter of concept i.e. Science for Villages.
\nHe introduced Basic Craft in spinning and weaving, carpentry, agriculture, fruit and flower cultivation, leather work, fish culture, pottery, any handicraft according to the local need, home science for girls.
\nSome of the above courses are still running in Sewagram Ashram at Wardha. Thus, wardha can be designated as the pioneer center of skill education in India.<\/p>\n

The following schemes are implemented under the Directorate of\u00a0 Vocational Education and Training Department.<\/u><\/p>\n

  1. Craftsman Training Scheme.<\/li>\n
  2. +2 level Higher Secondary Vocational Education Scheme<\/li>\n
  3. +2 level bifocal Vocational Education.<\/li>\n
  4. Pre S.S.C.Vocational Education Scheme<\/li>\n
  5. \u00a0Certificate Course Of MSBVE.<\/li>\n
  6. Apprenticeship Training Scheme (ITI \/ +2 level higher vocational Education)<\/li>\n
  7. Artizen to Technocrat<\/li>\n
  8. Basic Training and Related Instruction Center<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Craftsman Training Scheme<\/p>\n

    (Industrial Training Institute\u00a0)<\/p>\n

    Training is provided to the youth through employable training institutes for training of skilled and semi-skilled workers.\u00a0There are 8 government Institute and 14 \u00a0private institutes in the district, which has an intake capacity of Government is 1089 and Private Institute is1036.<\/p>\n

    In Government Industrial Training Institute, 1387 are admitted for the year 2018-19 and 1126 in Private Industrial Training Institute.<\/p>\n

    Pre S.S.C.Vocational Education Scheme<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    In the 9th and 10th level, pre vocational courses are run for the students to create a broad perspective about future education and to create a good learning for engineerin Education.\u00a0Presently, 1. Elements of Mechanical Engineering\u00a0 (v-1) 2. Element of Electronics and Electrical Engineering (V-2) are implemented through four Government Technical Secondary School. The basic technology (V-1) course is implemented through an\u00a0 Non GovernmentSecondary School Center. \u00a0The admission capacity is 480 and the Non GovernmentSecondary School Center is 120.\u00a0As the private organization does not afford to take the contents of the equipment, the workshop is started after taking the machinery in the government technical school and the participating schools for the training are provided in the private aided institutions.\u00a0The students of 9th and 10th students are given admission in the government institute.<\/p>\n

    +2 level Higher Secondary Vocational Education Scheme (MCVC)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    In the 11th \u00a0and 12th level, the students are given employment oriented and suitable professionally oriented training for self employment. This scheme is provided to the youth and there are 2 government and 20 non Government institutions.\u00a0It has an intake capacity of 180 and an Non Government Granted is 1900.\u00a0There are 132 admissions in the government organization in 2018-19 and 1336 admissions have been made in the non-government Granted institution.<\/p>\n

    + 2 level Bifocal Vocational Education<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    Bifocal Vocational vocational education is planned for the students to go to higher education at the level of 11th and 12th and also to go to the employment \/ self employed for some students.\u00a0There are 2 government and 05 non-government aided and 22 non-aided institutions in the district, where the scheme is implemented, the government has 350 seats, and the non-government aided organization is 400 and the non-government Unaided is 1700.\u00a0In 2018-19, there were 191 government institutions and 275 in non-government institutions and 871 non-governmental unaided institutions.<\/p>\n

    Certificate Course<\/u><\/p>\n

    The course of 6 months \/ 1 year \/ 2 years is conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Vocational Education , Mumbai.\u00a0There are 05 institutions in the district and total intake capacity is 150.\u00a0A total of 110 students have been admitted in 2018.<\/p>\n

    • To raise the quality & quantity of industrial production by systematic training of workers.<\/li>\n
    • To reduce unemployment among the educated youth by equipping them for suitable industrial employment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
